Symphonic Band

- The Symphonic Band is an elite concert ensemble that requires audition.
- Students in this ensemble represent the most proficient wind and percussion performers in our music program.
- Students are highly encouraged to go to Solo and Ensemble, try-out for All-District and take private lessons.
- Literature is performed to best serve the educational needs of our students.
- Ensemble performacnes include Concert Festivals, Fall and Spring Concerts, and special appearances.

Marching Band

- The "Mighty Mustang" Marching Band is the most active of the organizations in the Meadowcreek High School Band program.
- Preparations take place during the Summer months and performances include football games, competitions, parades, and special appearances.
- Marching Band is an athletic sport and can be extremely physical.
- It is important for students and parents to understand the time commitment of this ensemble before joining.
- Admission into the marhcing band includes academic and financial obligations.
- Students must audition in the Spring to be in the Fall marching band.
- Students that do not attend Summer camp will automatically be an alternate in the field show.

Beginning Band

- This class is comprised of students who have played less than a year on a particular instrument and want to take an interest in one of the other ensembles.
- This group of students participate in the Fall and Spring Concerts.

Jazz Ensemble

- The Jazz Band provides our best instrumentalists with opportunity to develop their skills associated with a wide variety of contemporary and traditional compositions.
- Students will learn to improvise and to create their own melodies through performance.
- This ensemble performs for special occasions and events that may call for a light background.

Basketball Pep Band

- The Basketball Pep Band is an extremely energetic group of musicians that play for all of the Varsity home games.
- The ensemble is primarily upperclassmen and is student organized.
